Harry's Bar is always a hive of activity.

O
ver the festive season with parties a many, old and new faces seeing the new year with a bang that will leave your head banging the next day.

With plenty of music to keep those twinkle-toes dancing until the wee small hours, and plenty of surprises for those that dare to hail unto the orignal Harry's Bar Singapore while avoiding the clones.

Jazz music has the ability to lull and smooth, and so Harry's Bar, which combines the lovely tunes of resident band ChromaZone with the serenity of riverside drinking, provides a haven for post-work evening relaxation.

The allure of this place echoes from its quaint old-world fans to cool colonial interiors, putting you into a charmed state even as you decide what to drink from a unique range of cocktails.

Try the house cocktail the Bank Breaker, named for the notorious rogue banker, Nick Leeson used to come here and they've paid tribute to him by naming a cocktail 'Bank Breaker'.

I'm sure that's something he'd prefer to just forget about, and trust me, after two of these, it won't be so hard (to forget, that is).

King of the Quay and winner of Newsweek's World's Best Bar Award, Harry's Bar is the best place in Singapore for authentic live jazz music and that lovely vibe that only comes when mixing jazz with cocktails. Therefore they have a mean range of cocktails mixed by an attentive and friendly staff who knows what they're doing.

Located in a district known for its dining and drinking good times, Harry's is a perfect after dinner stop, or why not skip the walk and have dinner on the Quayside, as they do have an excellent kitchen.

On Sundays, aspiring musicians gather for a special jam session from 7pm to midnight.
